Legislative Awareness

................................................................................................................................................................................................

womanchild

The Church encourages us to engage in the legislative life of our communities at every level: local, statewide, and national. Working together we can impact legislation that is consistent with our faith as we work for justice and peace for all God’s creation.

As an advocate for the people, Catholic Charities provides education on legislative issues in light of Catholic Social Teaching.  Poverty, the death penalty, war and peace, abortion, stem cell research, immigration, payday lending, and global climate change are only a few of the issues today that demand a faith response.

Faithful Citizenship necessitates a well formed conscience. Review our links below to see how Catholic Charities can help you become aware of current faith issues.
