Responding to Gustav

UPDATE

Our sister diocese of Houma-Thibodaux Louisiana suffered a direct hit from Hurricane Gustav.  Several homes, churches and schools are damaged and flooding is throughout the diocese with roads closed for the next several days.  The Houma-Thibodaux diocese was one of the first responders with $5,000 given immediately to us after hearing of the floods in our diocese.  Please continue with your prayers for our partner diocese as well as for those along the gulf coast. 

Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo is collecting financial donations to help our sister diocese and those along the gulf coast area.  Donations will be used to fund local Catholic Charities agencies’ and the Houma-Thibodaux diocese in their emergency and long-term relief efforts.
