The Catholic Church reflects a rich history in social justice teachings based on gospel principles. Catholic Social Teaching informs all that we do as the People of God; acting as the leaven within vibrant parish life and community.
These seven guiding principles include Life and Dignity of the Human Person, Family, Community, and Participation, Rights and Responsibilities, Option for the Poor and Vulnerable, The Dignity of Work and the Rights of Workers, Solidarity, and Care for God’s Creation.
Catholic Charities provides opportunities to learn more about these teachings and how to implement them through workshops, presentations, and parish missions. We are here to educate, engage, and empower ourselves to continue building the Kingdom of justice and peace on earth.
